Something that has frustrated me in the past was that when writing EPMA batch scripts, there was nothing as far as colored text editors to help me make sure that I spelled everything correctly. Out of curiosity (and because I am an Ultra Edit user), I decided to try and write one for EPMA scripts.
Well, good news. I wrote one that tests out okay in my books! Using a simple sample below, you can see the coloring used for the keywords.
The .uew is also added to this post for download and use. Enjoy!
EPMABatchScripts <– Note that you will have to save the file as a “.uew” to this location on your machine: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\IDMComp\UltraEdit\wordfiles . Close down Ultra Edit (if open) and reopen to see the file highlighting in your choice list.
Also note that the file extension recognized by this UEW is “.epma”. If this extension is not used, Ultra Edit will not recognize the file as an EPMA Batch Script Utility file.
